Four Rooms

Round traversing labyrinth

The Roman design does not have to be square as this labyrinth from wooden crosses depicts.

Interestingly today a quote by Rumer Godden came up about the four rooms of our life as I was reading about her life in India.

“There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emtional, and a spiritual . Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”

Your Four Room House

Your Four Room Walk

Today on the fourth of the month, I had the opportunity to walk a Roman Labyrinth with its four quadrants and I was reminded of this quote as it forces one to breathe presence into each room or section as one will traverse each quadrant before going on to the next. The very significant thing about this design is that there are two opportunities to do this and so if what is not clear or present when going into the center, there is a choice to find the difference on the way out.

May your house walk today breathe in possibilities and exhale opportunity! May the fourth be with you!
