Sleep Walking

TLS 365 Experience #64
May 3, 2017

I can’t sleep.

I am up with thoughts filling the mind, where the disturbance is such, it wrests the natural night’s restorative slumber. In between the thought to surrender and rise or the want to turn over and give it another attempt, I spy the finger labyrinth near the bed and ease it over.

With the softest of pressure my finger applies itself to the grooved pathway and instinctively knows to follow and move into the circular spiraling peaceful adventure that it becomes within moments. It is as if the body exhales a deeper and longer breath satisfying the mind enough to momentarily release. Though as I follow the path silently, the mind releases with deeper exhalations and soon into the center their is a peaceful bliss.

The practice automatically moves the finger, as the waves of slumber call and as the trace completes its final turn what was desired becomes aquired.

I sleep.
