Happy Wishes for 2019!

the 2019 365 Experience Labyrinth Image and Design by theAmusedMuse.com

The TLS 365 Experience begins 2019 with a walking year of becoming aware of the ways in which we are a contribution, how we can learn more and why we become more when we share, add, give or contribute. There is much to appreciate in ourselves and our world when we become part of the experience.

Having created the slogan “Let’s walk the world as one” for World Labyrinth Day many years ago, to appreciate contribution, we might appreciate ourselves and others more as we spend 2019 exploring being a part of the walking ways of the world.

Our experience includes:

Quarterly Themes of Awareness • Education • Application • Contribution
Monthly Topics to enhance the annual objective
Daily Experiences to embrace, experience, evolve and enjoy

Exploring Contribution can include:

Finding a Walking Buddy from around the world
Becoming part of a world project with the labyrinth
Creating a collective of labyrinths, designs and or community
This… can be an exhaustive list of ways to become a part of something

Become part of the Daily Wisdom

  1. Walk with the Contributed focus from the Wisdom of Others who walk
  2. Contribute something from your experience to keep the program going
  3. Partner, collaborate, grow, build and add to the world this year.
    Realize:
    • If you put it on Facebook, it will be appreciated as part of this collective wisdom. words, art, poems, expressions, programs, designs, tips, techniques, and more are ways to share your experiences. We all have experiences.
    • Realize how much more you learn, grow and become as a contributor
    • Just when you think you can’t, this experience shows what is possible.
    • Become part of something bigger, as an archival legacy of labyrinths
    • Share, add, give, offer, teach, facilitate, contribute are all words of growth.

The experience is simple and begins today with your walk, experience and sharing. It is surprising how many want there sharing to be perfect, lose that idea and realize that every walk is what it is, each offers us something and every sharing is valuable and greatly appreciated for its unique wisdom.

The 365 Experience will be posted in the next week on the website, though daily an idea will be prompted in this daily blog. Get Excited!

Beginnings

Walk with the idea today of the 364 other days that will follow. Consider what you might gain from a world walking buddy, being part of a world project, participating with others and what wisdom each might bring.

Walk with it • Share your experience

Looking forward to another year of fantastic experiences. Realize if each shared only once this year, there would be quite a lot of wisdom to learn from in how, why, what, where, with who and when we use and appreciate the labyrinth!

Clever Competencies

Day 362  December 28
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Honest Gifts

Segment Five: Skills
Days 359-364

Completeness in Competency

Image of Star Labyrinth for Segment 5 of Skills.Born to grow, its how we understand what we are capable, whether gifted with natural talents or skilled in interest and practice. We continue growing throughout our life and in everyday as we are open, willing and ready to realize and acknowledge that there is always something new to learn and that it keeps us fluid and adaptable in our environs.

Core competencies are explored in our formal education and continue through our professional careers. They essentially assist us in becoming both effective at what we do, by our understanding and applications that are effective. We learn to appreciate the complexity of life in a way that acknowledges whats necessary and moves us into a profound simplicity instead of confusion.

The walk of the labyrinth is a tool for these efficient and effective strategies to awaken, offer information, offer us variety in the ways to apply them and help us offer and useful skills for useful reasoning. It becomes a tool that dispels and debunks what is not relevant and endorses and engages with what is.

Our walks and explorations each month have offered perspectives from definition and personalization for understanding, to creativity, exploration and discovery. There are so many pathways that open new levels of appreciation into the metaphors and messages that we receive in our applications of a walk, that a year of daily experiences, is but a short time to discover.

Daily Insights of this 362nd day…
Walk with the gifts of your areas of competency realized this year.

Following the five pointed star labyrinth this month in five points:

  1. Follow along Daily or as often as you can

  5. Share your experience and add to the Daily Wisdom of the 365 Experience

Review the Gifts in Five Day Segments:

    • Inspiration in the inner motivation we possess, the focus of looking back at our discoveries to notice over the next five days about what inspired our capabilities into actionable realizations will be a great topic to select meaningful moments this year.
    • Fortitude in the courage, resilience and mettle that have risen this year when in consideration of the ways we understand, use, and apply the labyrinth and relate it to ourselves either personally or professionally, the next five days will be reflective.

Savor

Day 330  November 26
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Grateful Pathways

Week Four: Counting Your Blessings

The bountiful abundant nature of blessings suggests that there is always enough and ready on demand for the asking. Being able to see, accept, open and realize their prosperous nature is found in the regular elevation of practice and use. Like anything we want to know better, application offers us opportunities. It is like an investment in wonderful. Believing to behold is important, so adding a familiar effect can be helpful to our practice and process.

Savoring what blessings offer us is to linger on the feeling of them a little longer as if to absorb the fullness of the sensation experienced. As we walk the labyrinth, it is similar to finding a spot to appreciate the moments occurring. Let the value sit in common hours with you and marinate the meaning for a fuller blessing experience.

The savory path of the blessings labyrinth by theamusedmuse.comThe Fourth Blessing: Savor

In steps and stages one meanders through the experience of the labyrinth. When embracing our natural abilities and sensory skills, we can open to the greater education of feeling movement orientation within our body as it is explored from footstep to the glide of our stride. Each motion has an impact on our thoughts, emotions, bodily function with a quiet internal function that says yes to the way we move or redirects us with purposeful intentions of learning.

In the surrender that we may enjoy, we can be alive to the blessings of support, sustenance, and shaping of our experience and more, in a way that allows the experience to open to the sensation of what is offered in a complete sense that can allow the subtle senses to assimilate the flavor of what we savor.

November’s Focus

Banner Image of Grateful Pathways for November 365 Experiences

Week Four Focus: Blessings

In discovering the elements of gratitude, thanks is an expression we use to communicate our sense of what we hold gratitude for. Explore the ways Appreciation is felt this week on the labyrinth in daily walks, group facilitation, program creation, offerings, artwork, illustration and design, building canvas or permanent designs, books written or poetry created. However you find thanks as the path, on the path or of the path you are on… how is it expressed?

    • Personal: consider the ways of your own personal adventures and use.
    • Associations: contemplate the ways of use with friends, family, and relationships or other acquaintances.
    • Environs: realize the community uses, organizations, landscapes encountered.
    • Global: imagine the ways that what you do reaches others in the world environs.

Share and become part of history and her story…

Consider the topic with the ways you currently use the labyrinth for self or sharing with others:

• Personal Walk
• Group Walk, Program, Workshop, Education, etc.
• Designs, Artwork, illustrations, photos of labyrinth you walked, etc.
• Building concepts, tips, techniques, design ideas, etc.
• Personal Development, Guidance, Growth orientation, etc
• Writing, poetry, creations, installations, etc.
• Learn something new about yourself, others or the labyrinth this month.

The Center of All

TLS 365 Experience #289
December 14, 2017

It’s in the simple moments with grandchildren that a family becomes extended and enriched. Mine had visited yesterday and I set up bowls of dried peas and pastas for them to create with as we made cookies in the kitchen. I spilled some flour on the counter and before I had a chance to wipe it up, the youngest was drawing stars in it.

I joined her and we made a variety of shapes, becoming more creative as we continued. It was in this play that my grandchild learned of the labyrinth, as the drawing of this symbol, to me seemed inevitable in creating and symbolizing. What was wonderful was in the application this young child brought to it. She commented on the paths and how they were ancestral. She noted that the outer paths were the great great grandparents and how each path led generationally to the center where she was.

My mind takes wondrous leaps in the wisdom of children, and isn’t that just like a child to know they are the center of all things in a family?

Simple Contributions

TLS 365 Experience #251
November 6, 2017

The simplest contribution we can make is when we create awareness, education or application of the labyrinth and share it with others. It can be in a presentation where information is offered. It can be in a walk where people experience it. It I can be in design, art, building, or how we use our collective and individual talents to offer the labyrinth to others.  Even just sharing your enthusiasm about the labyrinth with others about is a contribution in answering a question or in the telling of an experience.

Planting Seeds of Creativity

TLS 365 Experience #231
October 17 2017

Greek Key and Labyrinth The experience of sharing the seed patterns with a group of students had them doodling and designing all afternoon. In fact the next time I visited the class, new designs and ideas germinated from these seed patterns and many had been able to share where they had seen the pattern show up in design, advertising and in items found around the house.

What began as a simple idea to show the formation and foundation of the design, had blossomed into a greater understanding and application for life.

Contribution

TLS 365 Experience #215
October 1, 2017

Illinois Labyrinth focused on Contribution

October begins the last chapter of the TLS 365 Experience for 2017 and the topic is all about Contribution.  Walking on this theme this morning it seems like it would be no surprise to meet others on the walk who wanted to know a bit more. It was in meeting individuals who wanted to add a labyrinth for their community that the topic really made me smile.

Everyone of us contributes and without even knowing it most likely.  In your walk of this day, consider the value of what the labyrinth represents and how you are contributing with it. Maybe you have been contributed to by others?  It can be as simple as answering a question for someone, or as large as creating a community for understanding and using it. It can also be just showing up and supporting another’s efforts…

Share your story with us and acknowledge your efforts and those of others, together we make a wonderful contribution for awareness, understanding, and the application of the labyrinth.

Anatomy of a Question

TLS 365 Experience #200
September 16, 2017

When I walk the labyrinth, it is often to bring up thoughts, feelings, ideas and questions that are floating around inside of me and wish an external outlet. As I take steps onto the path I am headed inward and the awareness of my body, mind and soul alignment are brought to my attention.

Sensory perception awakens constriction and location.  The more steps that traverse the path inward, the more the emergence of emotion and logic that arise, observe without intrusion. The walking body negotiates the turns and sets the pace of function and as the application of movement spirals inwards traversing the pattern of back and forth, the gentle rocking of what is unimportant loosens and releases the unnecessary in the constriction.

By the time the center has been reached in the labyrinth, the falling away of what is not relevant reveals a true question from the former constriction. The question can now more uniquely fit to evolve circumstance. Knowing a true question, makes finding the walk of the answer one of application and allowance. The walk of reverse is where the additions become the discoveries and the journey to the answer is one of purposeful and practical curiosity.

The Quiet

TLS 365 Experience #153
July 31, 2017

The quietness of a labyrinth in CaliforniaToday is a quiet day and as I reach for the labyrinth, it becomes a still and quiet walk. I find when I am in this kind of quiet, everything seems slower and more profound. Whether I finger walk or utilize full body, the movements I make are very purposeful as if I can feel the tense and release of muscles. noticing how  each is applied in the momentum. My awareness becomes very exact as the quiet is applied like a blanket, and rolls out in a complete way to encompass the entire body.

The quiet is internal and isolates the outside world from the experience. Each motion is observed for what it is, without any descriptive thought or plan from the mind. It is in these moments of the walk that the action of the leg striding to make its next step is complete with the natural force of the foot bearing weight onto the pathway. In the finger walk it is the extension of the arm and the texture felt under the finger as it reaches its destination along patterns and grooves.

To apply a deep quiet creates an expansion of awareness and greater appreciation of each chosen action.

Move and Be Moved

TLS 365 Experience #136
July 14, 2017

Stone LabyrinthThe secret of the labyrinth’s ability is in how we each apply it.

Whether walking, watching, finger walking, drawing or creating a design, the common application is movement. We move with it and it moves us.

Our physicality is shifted, our cognitive construct considers and reconsiders, the way we relate to it, ourselves and others stretches our emotional response and how we connect and our moved internally affects our spiritual inner knowing.

A labyrinth is merely geometry until it’s geography is explored with movement.
