TLS 365 Experience #204
September 20, 2017
“Calm and Collected.”
This was my response to an individual who inquired of my experience after walking the labyrinth. They had observed though not intruded as I took steps on the path and where I felt my reserve flowing, they sat with inquisitive wonder.
They asked about the labyrinth itself having read a little, though wanted to know the introspective of a walker and I was happy to share my experiences. I found myself called to service in my explanation and listening to what they wanted as I responded about the basics of a labyrinth. It seemed they wanted more, so shared a story and some insights and that is what made a difference.
I noted a sense of dipping of the toes, like the first step of the labyrinth and then a comfort in the walk to share the information desired and the turns from the questions to answer more fully. Deepening with personal introspection neared the conversation to finding the center point that brought their inquisitiveness and my sharing to a conclusion. Asked and answered fount a mutual completion, like the goal or center of the labyrinth.
It takes the walk and the practice to notice how much we operate as the labyrinth over time.
