The Other Senses of Life

image for Segment 4 by TheAmusedMuse.com

Relating to our natural abilities can involve an appreciation from a physical body perspective, the mind in its cognitive and emotional capacity, and in what the soul holds and offers, though in relating the expansiveness that our sensory capacity offers when more fully utilized and appreciated, we begin to think of the other natural senses.

What we determine as common sense, a sense of humor or an innate intuitive sense help us relate to the idea that sense is a factor of more consideration than we might at first consider.  One relates to a practical reasoned mind, another to an elevation of mind with a touch of bodily function in the response of laughter that often follows, and the very center of listening and discerning that beckons the soul to relate a categorical order to our other senses.

Our experiences this year have brought us in touch with all of these other senses and related them well to our walks of patterns, metaphors and insightful understandings. It has turned what’s common in common sense from being confusion to clarity in a walk that wicks away the non essential and restored sensibility to our common sense.

In April the sense of humor was explored as part of National Humor month as an opportunity to walk a little differently and explore innovation and creation when we are ultra heightened by our ability to perceive. Exploring the intuition has been a foundational part of our experience.

Savor

Day 330  November 26
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Grateful Pathways

Week Four: Counting Your Blessings

The bountiful abundant nature of blessings suggests that there is always enough and ready on demand for the asking. Being able to see, accept, open and realize their prosperous nature is found in the regular elevation of practice and use. Like anything we want to know better, application offers us opportunities. It is like an investment in wonderful. Believing to behold is important, so adding a familiar effect can be helpful to our practice and process.

Savoring what blessings offer us is to linger on the feeling of them a little longer as if to absorb the fullness of the sensation experienced. As we walk the labyrinth, it is similar to finding a spot to appreciate the moments occurring. Let the value sit in common hours with you and marinate the meaning for a fuller blessing experience.

The savory path of the blessings labyrinth by theamusedmuse.comThe Fourth Blessing: Savor

In steps and stages one meanders through the experience of the labyrinth. When embracing our natural abilities and sensory skills, we can open to the greater education of feeling movement orientation within our body as it is explored from footstep to the glide of our stride. Each motion has an impact on our thoughts, emotions, bodily function with a quiet internal function that says yes to the way we move or redirects us with purposeful intentions of learning.

In the surrender that we may enjoy, we can be alive to the blessings of support, sustenance, and shaping of our experience and more, in a way that allows the experience to open to the sensation of what is offered in a complete sense that can allow the subtle senses to assimilate the flavor of what we savor.

Explore the ways Appreciation is felt this week on the labyrinth in daily walks, group facilitation, program creation, offerings, artwork, illustration and design, building canvas or permanent designs, books written or poetry created. However you find thanks as the path, on the path or of the path you are on… how is it expressed?

    • Personal: consider the ways of your own personal adventures and use.
    • Associations: contemplate the ways of use with friends, family, and relationships or other acquaintances.
    • Environs: realize the community uses, organizations, landscapes encountered.

The Intensity of Intention

TLS 365 Experience #201
September 17, 2017

I wasn’t sure what makes one experience more significant than another on the labyrinth, except for possibly the intensity of my intention. Some walks just create ideas and some walks solve an issue or situation. The common factor in either, is in how I am present to the experience. I notice that I move either into a walk with intention to begin it, or walk in a mode of discovery, observing or realizing what comes forth as I do.

As the path progresses, intensity arrives to comprehensively listen more deeply into the experience. I become aware of how much more intently I observe and notice when I walk without intention, as if there would be clues I might miss if I did not.   When I do have a purpose or intention, this point drives what prevails and my awareness into a more significant and appreciable moment of understanding and purpose.

In walking, I realized that intention is always present and choosing to have something in mind or not is an intention. The intensity is fueled by my curiosity and desire to know.

Labyrinths In Life

TLS 365 Experience #132
July 10, 2017

Labyrinth sewer coverWhen your focus is about the labyrinth, they seem to show up everywhere. From the simple Greek Key design to a fully walkable permanent design;  we can find them in society and nature.

The geometric shapes become more plentiful and seem to be represented in pattern and fabric and over the years I have found them in the most interesting of areas and places I wouldn’t really expect.

Meanders in nature and design, clothing and architecture are really more common than we might think. Look up, look down they are all around.
