Each month we begin a new day by day concept that supports the quarterly focus and the year’s theme.  We meet in the middle of the month on the Ides, to see what you have created with your own honest ingenuity and to share with others what possibilities we can discover in the remaining half of the month.

Everyone is welcome, no matter your experience level as this is about using the labyrinth in different ways to create better understanding of the labyrinth and a great way to know ourselves more honestly. Discover what you are capable of with this wonderful path of possibilities.

June Banner 2018 TLS 365 Experience World Wide Wonder

Welcome June

Our exploration this month is to discover the World Wide Wow in the unique and innovative labyrinth designs world wide that inspire us to move beyond the everyday and give us a larger labyrinthic look at what our path can truly provide. From the idea of living outside your box to simply doing something different everyday, allow this journey of June to educate you and your relationship to life with the labyrinth. We’e taking a global course in Labyrinthing!

  1. Get Global….Explore the World
Investigate the world wonders of labyrinth design that are unique and different. From the permanent structures that are built to the canvas portable unique designs or the finger labyrinths that inspire a different walk, share the images at the 365 Experience on the TLS website and provide some detail and share your thoughts. Note how these designs are  outside the box of traditional design and how they might take us outside the design we’ve been living in.  They can be quite diverse or small simple adjustments that make it different too.
  2. Act Local…. Bring the World to you
Let your walks, programs, designs, creations and simple enthusiasm be inspired by what the world offers us with fresh ways to create new experiences in the 30 days of this month. If it is doing something different each day, walking a new labyrinth, designing, researching or some new way to share, do it then share it with us! By becoming acquainted with the unique labyrinths of the world, we can be inspired as to why they are different, how they serve and what they offer on the same path we walk on in our home or local community area.
  3. Join the online  Mid Month Dialogues Call on Friday June 15th at 2pmPST
Be curious, research and share what you know of unique world labyrinths in the first half of the month and apply something that you find unique to your own life walk. Join us on the Mid Month Dialogues to share what you discovered, ask questions and hear from others about what they explored and discovered. Be inspired with an insight to complete the month with and make June a true world Journey.  Call connection Information

The Wisdom of Waiting

TLS 365 Experience #237
October 23, 2017

Our message to the class today was to put something in and take something away.

We demonstrated this balanced equation on the labyrinth by walking in with a problem and returning with a solution. To prove the point we asked for it to be of a personal nature that each could find some element that was the solution or could lead them to one.

As the walk completed our discussion added the value of patience as several had been blank on finding solution, though noted the more peaceful way they felt. We offered a patience meditation and made a writing assignment for the evening.

By the next day everyone had found an answer or element that led them to look in a new direction.  When we teach we discover more than we knew before.

Solution Path

TLS 365 Experience #156
Aug. 3, 2017

Getting a group on the labyrinth during a workshop was a wonderful way to get everyone connected.  I found a group that was just not connecting with each other in the material that was presented. As the material worked well with other groups, it was a question.

We had the thought to put everyone on the labyrinth and walk with a few questions. As they completed, we sat down for a discussion and found a very real cultural misunderstanding had occurred. Using the labyrinth helped everyone to understand the point, the process and the practical application as intended and also where the error in judgement had occurred without an issue.

If we had not thought to find a quick way to get everyone communicating in this way, we would have missed a valuable lesson into the cultural implication that had been misinterpreted. No one had a clue that this had not been part of our plan and without skipping a beat, we were back on the path of purpose and progress.

Entertaining Education

TLS 365 Experience #40
April 9, 2017

Sharing the labyrinth experience with kids is always an adventure. It can remind us of our own youthful curiosity and at the same time bring about the unexpected direction creatively.

One after school group was particularly wiggly from the long day and while using meditative experiences in the past has been beneficial, this day called for movement.

We set up a game like experience where a set of ground rules established safety and concern for others and then each found a different way to walk the path and no one could walk the same as others before. It proved just the right amount of activity and creativity that led to some interesting discussion about how and what we learn independently and collectively.
