In this vast week of blessings, appreciation for the eye opening explorations to see more blessings in more places has magnified the experience of gratitude. Finding the great and full nature of the labyrinth’s ample design for discoveries, inquiries, investigations and experiments into body, mind and soul provided more comprehensive understanding of a thankful nature. The combination of the labyrinth experience and gratitude has evidenced and generated a positive far reaching experiential education of gratitude in the blessings it has provided.

Path Three – Embracing an experience is to fully appreciate the experiential nature of both the blessings of the labyrinth and the labyrinth of blessings provided. Refresh your path today with the week’s memorable day.

Path Four – Savoring the experience furthers the understanding and appreciation that multiply the benefits of the blessings received.Review the savory path.

Path Five – Sharing becomes the ultimate in contribution from a learned and knowing place that is experientially aware and present to purposeful and usefulness that blessings provide. Reflect on your sharing pathway.

Path Six – Actionable Orientations and the combined collective of the suffix of ING  offered an exemplary and comprehensive experience path to reconstruct today.

Path Seven – Surplus describes the enormity of the results of gratitude in the blessings that have a way of showing us the relative preponderance we may become a part of when in step with giving and receiving the review of blessings.

Savor

Day 330  November 26
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Grateful Pathways

Week Four: Counting Your Blessings

The bountiful abundant nature of blessings suggests that there is always enough and ready on demand for the asking. Being able to see, accept, open and realize their prosperous nature is found in the regular elevation of practice and use. Like anything we want to know better, application offers us opportunities. It is like an investment in wonderful. Believing to behold is important, so adding a familiar effect can be helpful to our practice and process.

Savoring what blessings offer us is to linger on the feeling of them a little longer as if to absorb the fullness of the sensation experienced. As we walk the labyrinth, it is similar to finding a spot to appreciate the moments occurring. Let the value sit in common hours with you and marinate the meaning for a fuller blessing experience.

The savory path of the blessings labyrinth by theamusedmuse.comThe Fourth Blessing: Savor

In steps and stages one meanders through the experience of the labyrinth. When embracing our natural abilities and sensory skills, we can open to the greater education of feeling movement orientation within our body as it is explored from footstep to the glide of our stride. Each motion has an impact on our thoughts, emotions, bodily function with a quiet internal function that says yes to the way we move or redirects us with purposeful intentions of learning.

In the surrender that we may enjoy, we can be alive to the blessings of support, sustenance, and shaping of our experience and more, in a way that allows the experience to open to the sensation of what is offered in a complete sense that can allow the subtle senses to assimilate the flavor of what we savor.

Hallowed

Day 304  October 31
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Message, Metaphor and Magic

labyrinth overshadowed in purple twilight with metaphor of hallowed by TheAmusedMuse.com

Topic: Hallowed

At our core essence we are all hallow travelers on a journey of giving and receiving.

The  Message:

On this day that brings All Hallow Even, a shortening of Halloween, or the time of Hallow tide. Hallow is a reverent term for saint, holy, sacred or veneration.  The costumes and gaiety of the consumer holiday, may appear to  remove the significance of a sacred walk on the labyrinth and turn the reverence to a dark foreboding psychological thriller or a mere whiff of whimsical festivity. All purposes provide meaning and what we bring to the path can eventually lead to curiosity and offer education, tradition, ritual and reverence to a time where death is not such a mystery and is a natural part of living.

We might hold more sacred, the time in between our celebrated beginnings of life and the respectful closure of our departing. As the completion of this book finds an end we may appreciate more knowing, learning from our engagement or bittersweet in our steps of closure, yet the next step in this life or another can be reverent.

The Magic:

Step into a realm of creating a hallowed experience of what is sacred and reverent for all souls that have meant much. Walk with realization of what has been gained in the exchange of offering and receiving.

Daily Insights : On this 304th day…
Appreciate the sacred time of your walk, the reverence of feeling in your steps and the celebration of life in your heart as you walk in the world of the everyday magical experiences and the entertaining magical mysteries available on this day.

Uniting of Mind, Body and Soul

The labyrinths of the Southwest have their own flavor and expression that captivates what is natural and cultivates what is available. The labyrinth at Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center in Albiqui, New Mexico at the edge of Carson National Forest north of Santa Fe and just west of Taos, is another supreme example of natural use for natural use.

State of New Mexico as a labyrinthAs the center is designed for life education, the labyrinth is appropriately placed and used for adaptation and in reflection of many life lessons that come when educating with the wonders found in the Southwestern climate. The bond of education and environment are a magnificent force of reckoning in this setting.

The Bonding of soul with mind and body is the purpose of the experiences at the center, and so very similar to the purpose of the labyrinth…and vice versa.

Dual Devotion Memorials

Day 222  August 10
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Application
In The Month of: States of Being United

The image of the Memorial labyrinth of Goodland, KS

A memorial labyrinth in Goodland, Kansas. Photo Credits: First Christian Church

When a labyrinth is designed in memorial, it typically stems from the interest of the labyrinth from the individual being memorialized or by the family and/or community that want to create a way to acknowledge the individual for their contributions with a way to continue to also service the community. In this united purpose, the labyrinth is a dual devotion that continues to be an education of life, while it yields to a sacred space to remember and reengage with a walk.

The state of Kansas with labyrinth designHaving traveled through Kansas a few times as well from border to border, it is reminiscent of Nebraska with a straightforward drive of flat plains that seem at time, endless. I observed that there are few labyrinths that span the state of Kansas, rather the majority are found nearer the Eastern border of the state spreading out Wichita and from the Kansas City area of Missouri. There are a few scattered in various locations that make finding them a feeling of good fortune and a happy surprise.  The labyrinth at First Christian Church  in Goodland, Kansas is one of those surprise finds, as it sits nearest the Colorado border in the northern part of the state.

This labyrinth was created and dedicated as a memorial to Marlin and Yvonne Musil who lived, contributed and loved their community. Their love lives on when people join together in a walk or in the simple steps of one who invites themselves to a solo walk, appreciative that the labyrinth exists because of another’s gift of service, friendship and community.

Remembering a fond labyrinthAs we close this merrier month of May in celebration with new realizations and old appreciations, we are uplifted in the capacity we have as humans to look for the path that provides the light. It is our hope this year to provide an honest way to experience the greater abilities of ourselves that can be surprisingly simple and true. In walking this path we can embrace the world changes with our changes in some new ways that help us to evolve as citizens of the world walking a path that is unique to each of us and common to all.

Each day in May, as each day in 2018 a new posting has been provided with illustrations to explore, evolve and energize the subtlety of how celebration provides us a path of possibility for our walk on the labyrinth and the steps we take in our everyday occurrences.  This month we’ve celebrated beginnings, festivals, World Labyrinth Day,  Mother’s, birthdays and more reminding us that one day of celebration commemorates a year of effort. On this last day of May, we also celebrate those we memorialize who stood for the country and served in its defense. Today marks a great celebration of service and whether you are of this great nation or another, walking together as one nation and one world is a fitting way to close our month with great realization of great appreciations.

On the first day… we walk in and on the last we walk out to a new beginning. In appreciation for this opportunity of sharing the celebrations of May!

On this 151st day…
Reflect on your month’s education of celebration and how your last walk of the month reflects the appreciations of your realizations.

The Month of Celebration, Appreciation and Realization

May’s Focus: Celebration

Life is a celebration to explore in the next 31 days. With the idea of walking the labyrinth and its tri-focus on releasing, receiving and reflecting, let’s shift the perspective to one that walks in with appreciation, finds the honest realization from each day and walks out in celebration.  Observe what 31 days of this focus might reflect and how it elevates our life condition.

Four focus points to expand your celebration of this month’s experience:

  1. Share your ideas, in your personal experiences, how you share the labyrinth with others, art, design or method of construction or in other ways that it may be utilized. Let others know about this daily experience and opportunity by sharing it. Find us on this blog and on the Labyrinth Societies Facebook page
  2. Join our Mid Month Dialogues on May 15th at 2pm CST for a lively look at what you have created and will create in the idea of celebration. This month’s theme was a direct result of our last month’s Mid Month Dialogue!
  3. Participate in the daily opportunity of this educational focus of  your personal journey, how you lead, teach or share with others, and what you create for contribution or purpose with this theme.
  4. Remember that our theme is about finding our greater capacities, abilities and true realities in being honest with our potential. We focus on what we can do as it is inherently more useful and productive.

Welcome May

Day 121: May 1
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Education
In The Month of: Celebration

Celebration confetti and balloons rising from the labyrinthIn this year of living honestly we look at the ways we can evolve our understanding of ourselves, our purpose with the labyrinth and our connection to others in the way we share it or comprehend larger meanings. We focus on quarterly concepts such as the awareness we’ve appreciated in the first and the concept of education for ourselves and the way we use the labyrinth with others in these three months. Our focus changes to add ways to appreciate that education differently and while we used the power of amusement to widen our focus, this month’s exploration focuses on the idea of celebration.

Life is a gift to celebrate daily. Life also offers us adversity and many of our former lessons have focused on overcoming and surviving that time for appreciating the celebrations becomes the thing we do for special occasions. Living the idea of celebration through appreciation and realization is an opportunity in the next 30 days to walk differently, share differently and care differently in the month of  May. Look forward to sharing innovations and creations, sharing in our mid month dialogues and taking steps to create a celebratory experience in this month.
