TLS 365 Experience #262
November 17, 2017
I typically remember people on their birthdays as it reminds me of the great day their adventure began and how grateful I am in knowing they arrived and how in the fabric of time, they became a part of my life. Today however I remember the end, because there was a larger contribution that had an impact and at the end of it all, more than just myself can see how much of an impact that made. Today I am reminded of a friend who seemed to be everyone’s friend in the Labyrinth Society, Judy Hopen.
She became the world’s foremost designer of canvas labyrinths and it was an honor to watch her limber form whisk around inside of the design creating strokes and laying the lines that would be a part of someone else’s life. She was like a labyrinth seed pattern that continually added contribution to the world, one labyrinth at a time. Like the paths that lead to the center, she found interest in the labyrinth, and grew in appreciation painting and refining her lines of design. Their were many that contributed to her, so she could contribute to the world and when it is all said and done, it is what we give with what is given that makes the whole of our walk in life.
We are all touched by those who are touched. Today I will walk with hope, with Judy in mind, etching out a little labyrinth in the sand to be a simple reminder of how the hope she brought into the world, is everyone’s opportunity.
