TLS 365 Experience #257
November 12, 2017
Conflicts indeed can be sorted out on the labyrinth, from the internal conflict we might struggle with on any given day to the difference of opinion that two people might be on either side of understanding. Though differences between groups of people and even our nation might well be served with a walk on the labyrinth.
Over the years of offering walks and talks of the labyrinth, I’ve come to learn of the many ways that indifference can become difference, which makes more matter and at least have an opinion. Difference can become appreciated for what it is and for what is not understood and causes conflict, the labyrinth walk helps perspective to grow and more to be understood and appreciated. Conflict is everywhere and found in everyday, time on the labyrinth allows for time and viewpoint to change.
When I heard the labyrinth was used instead of time out isolation at an elementary school, it brought hope for evolvement in education. I think if we can get more of humanity to sort out life’s issues on the labyrinth more regularly, we might indeed have the peace we seek.
