TLS 365 Experience #70
May 9, 2017
I have to write for others and there are times when it flows and times when I sit waiting for inspiration to visit. It is in those latter times that I stop sitting and decide to move to see what might come.
Finger labyrinths have served well for stimulating ideas and recessed thoughts. Other times a brisk outdoor walk on the labyrinth can move more of the body for different insight and sensation, as more seem to be stimulated in the outdoor experience.
The idea of dance and movement has also come into creation and in realizing the motions of a classical labyrinth, I can take long strides as if I am in the dance of the labyrinth by following its pattern:
Step in and move left.
Take a long walk in three quarter circle arch and then reverse moving slightly outward and walking a little larger arch of the circle to the other side.
Reverse again moving slightly outward walking along the arch in even larger circumference.
Moving inward briefly about three paces and then back right around and in an almost complete, though smaller circle.
Move inward again, and move clockwise in a much smaller and almost complete circle only to reverse again and walk back in an arch in a slightly larger circle.
Reversing once again moving back in a slightly larger circle all the way around it to come to and opening, where walking in finds a centering point.
Then the ideas really flow.
