image of the last day first day of 2018 Walking experienceIn review we find ourselves at the ending, beginning again. With seasoned eyes, there is a grateful recognition that something has transpired in between. On the labyrinth, a review becomes more than what we witness, as it involves our whole being transformed into experience mode.

The 365 days of the experience of the Year of Honest Living, have moved us inward, shifted our direction, offered a new way to turn things around, and provided a series of paths to follow. while inviting us into a portal of discovery that spirals us back into reflective mode to digest the fullness of the engagement.

As the year was one that began with a message and following through, what has transpired in thematic purpose each month has carried the message of honest living and the abilities that rise in great ways when we do. It’s been an adventure, an exploration and a journey of discoveries. There is much to appreciate in what has transpired as a year of insightful daily journeys that aimed for one purpose, to realize what more was possible.

Returning to the beginning on the walk of grace in the desert, a thankful richer walk transpires to appreciate what has been yielded from this engaged daily experience and noting the innate abilities that are an honest part of our existence, now realized for the greater gift they offer.

Daily Insights of this 365th day…
This day offers a reflection of reflections of the gifts realized and remembered this month and the ones that have risen in the year.

Action Oriented

Day 332  November 28
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Grateful Pathways

Week Four: Counting Your Blessings

This week’s experience now entering the sixth path and the sixth day has spelled out the word Blessing. The five former words and days occupied the first five letters and today taking all the actionable words to expand its plentiful nature of adding the ING suffix. As if affirming the prosperity of blessings, every word that attaches itself too the suffix in the name of blessing is a verb oriented action.

It creates a cornucopia of opportunities to create and be a blessing of the blessings. That is a thanksgiving unto itself. Where blessings can be helping, endearing, cheering, and a host of ample definitions, collectively they offer natural affluence in a confident manner of pure prosperity of soul

The Action Oriented path of the Blessings Labyrinth by theAmusedMuse.comThe Sixth Blessing: Actionable

It will be both blessed and of insightful interest to compile a numerous list of words that suddenly become actionable and bountiful when adding the ING suffix. Walking with a few words on one path such as surveying, conveying and playing for instance have us reviewing the whole of the experience, communicating it and developing it with a lighter attitude. Another path might offer us a chance to heal, help and hope, providing a curative path. By the time we reach the center of the labyrinth, the horn of plenty will spill out in blessings amplified.

Compile your list with care and consider what you want more of to add a word or a number of them to walk and examine the nature of the word, your relationship to it and how it offers a blessing by actively participating with it.

Daily Insights : On the first path of Appreciation in this 332nd day…
Walk as many verbs that are action oriented in your steps today. Add the suffix ING to appreciate all the ways you can walk.

Week Four Focus: Blessings

Explore the ways Appreciation is felt this week on the labyrinth in daily walks, group facilitation, program creation, offerings, artwork, illustration and design, building canvas or permanent designs, books written or poetry created. However you find thanks as the path, on the path or of the path you are on… how is it expressed?

    • Personal: consider the ways of your own personal adventures and use.
    • Associations: contemplate the ways of use with friends, family, and relationships or other acquaintances.
    • Environs: realize the community uses, organizations, landscapes encountered.
    • Global: imagine the ways that what you do reaches others in the world environs.

Sand Designs by Denny Dyke

Welcome the Joy of June! We begin to find ourselves nearing the middle of the year in this month’s arrival and in our year long program of exploration and celebration of our abilities, June offers us a chance to recognize ourselves in the world of labyrinths. This month we become global in our pursuits on the path of possibilities and explore the labyrinths of the world that move past the traditional and explore the fullness of their design capacity.  Your opportunity is to join in with sharing the natural, inspired and differently designed labyrinths of the world.whatJune

Whether it is in the programming you offer for education, the design you build to provide insight, the artistry you create to share perspective or the unique ways in which you walk or connect to embrace an experience, how might those unique differences speak to your journey and yourself in the year that lives more honestly in who we truly are?

June 1st – Global to Local:

Today’s design comes from the Oregon coast where artist Denny Dyke makes a composite of symbols and designs of the labyrinth into one walking experience. The wonder is in the artist who simply puts together the things that are important and combines the pieces to make one whole experience. Today discover how can you make more out of more labyrinths. I’ve often put together many labyrinths for one experience so can relate to this Artist and appreciate the reminder to be barefoot into the goodness of what nature provides. Where you don’t have a beach, you might have a sandbox or a box for sand and finger designs.

On this 152nd day…
Explore an idea of an area of your life this month where you would like to get out of the box of conformity.

The Celebrations We Bring

Day 148: May 28
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Education
In The Month of: Celebration

dimensional design labyrinth by the Amused Muse 2018The labyrinth is a simple set of lines that form a mathematical sequence. It is an equation no matter the magnificence or simplicity of its design. It is a creation, design or artistry that remains still until its geometry is activated by our arrival. To some its a tool, to others its an escape and to still more its an insightful journey… though the labyrinth is truly none of those things, until we become a part of it or allow it to become a part of us in our use, focus and application.

In the same sense, the labyrinth becomes rich in metaphor when we apply our path in life to the path we walk in its design. It is our ready application that brings results and when we integrate consideration of our appreciations, realizations and celebrations with our walk, they become the hocus pocus of our focus, like magic!  Like a house becomes a home and a church or temple become a sanctuary, it is what we bring that makes it so. Bring your celebrations and feel celebrated in this dimensional design in its many layers of convivial joviality.

On this 148th day…
What celebrations do you bring of your human capacity to the labyrinth today?

The Month of Celebration, Appreciation and Realization

May’s Focus: Celebration

Life is a celebration to explore in the next 31 days. With the idea of walking the labyrinth and its tri-focus on releasing, receiving and reflecting, let’s shift the perspective to one that walks in with appreciation, finds the honest realization from each day and walks out in celebration.  Observe what 31 days of this focus might reflect and how it elevates our life condition.

Four focus points to expand your celebration of this month’s experience:

  1. Share your ideas, in your personal experiences, how you share the labyrinth with others, art, design or method of construction or in other ways that it may be utilized. Let others know about this daily experience and opportunity by sharing it. Find us on this blog and on the Labyrinth Societies Facebook page
  2. Join our Mid Month Dialogues on May 15th at 2pm CST for a lively look at what you have created and will create in the idea of celebration. This month’s theme was a direct result of our last month’s Mid Month Dialogue!
  3. Participate in the daily opportunity of this educational focus of  your personal journey, how you lead, teach or share with others, and what you create for contribution or purpose with this theme.
  4. Remember that our theme is about finding our greater capacities, abilities and true realities in being honest with our potential. We focus on what we can do as it is inherently more useful and productive.

Many Labyrinths

TLS 365 Experience #178
Aug. 25, 2017

I don’t have to walk the labyrinth to get something out of it I have discovered.  Yes, the magical walk is often insightful for me, though when I didn’t always have a footpath available, the finger labyrinth provided a chance to see the difference.

Even drawing out the seed pattern offered up insight or designing a labyrinth with objects yielded something in the building process. I noticed in watching others that the experience was also alive and appreciated, and in all what I realize is, that just as there are many styles of labyrinths, there are many forms and many methods to understand and appreciate it too.
