The Voice of the Labyrinth

TLS 365 Experience #229
October 15, 2017

Expressions on the labyrinth, a voice for the labyrinth. LAT2012Having painted the outline of a classical design onto a canvas cloth for a walk, I had intended to add other features after the walk completed. There was much in release and discovery in this walk that was offered and participants in the walk asked if they could inscribe their thoughts on the labyrinth.

It seemed like a good idea and though not what had been planned or considered for this labyrinth, it felt right to allow. People wrote messages of hope and inspiration. There was encouragement and truth and a heart that showed up in many places. Peace was a natural expression and the messages of the journey began to be inserted around the labyrinth.

Where I had ideas of what would be added to this, walking and allowing the process to unfold is a bigger and better teacher. Since that time of inscription, others have naturally been drawn to share something on this without being directed. This labyrinth has a voice and expressive quality and it allows what first came out of the experience to continue.

Keep Walking

TLS 365 Experience #208
September 24, 2017

I walk the labyrinth for many reasons: to release the stresses of the day, to work out knotty problems, to gain insights and ideas, to relax, to share in community, to heal my heart when it is broken.

The most powerful times seem to happen when I am lost, when I feel that somehow I have lost my way or can’t find my “next step.” The labyrinth reminds me that we can’t always see very far ahead, but that is fine because we are always on the path. It tells me that sometimes we have to backtrack, that inspiration is always available, and that I can find my way.

I just have to keep walking. It reminds me that I have to listen to my heart, that it always knows. In the center, I get inspiration and new paths to explore. When I walk out, it is a new journey.

The Labyrinth Teaches

TLS 365 Experience # 33
April 2, 2017

Inspirations have usually been in the form of guidance or direction around a particular question that I’ve taken into the labyrinth – such as, should I do or not do a particular thing.

I’ve occasionally had a flash of inspiration about a smart way to do something that I might be planning, or a reminder / pointer to do something that I might forget that might otherwise not cross my mind.

Overall, these seem to relate to a state of being more fully mindful that I might usually be in my day-to-day dreamy state!

Voices of Creativity

TLS 365 Experience #13
March 13, 2017

Highlighting the wealth of labyrinth creativeness and expertise around the world and the individuals engaged in interesting and unique labyrinth activities is an offering of the Labyrinth Society’s Podcast show.

Curiosity about others on the path and what draws their appreciation and inspires them to share their creativity satisfied a personal desire to share these wonderful stories in service.

It’s a creative vocalization of a path of purpose and passion.
