Want, Desire and Choice

Day 50: February 19
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Awareness
In The Month of: Love

This mornings walk reflected the waking message of truth. Reminded of the story of a young women who walked alongside God on a an ocean landscape where the gentle tides quietly arrived to moisten the sand and provide the proof of existence through footprints, the women revealed her awakening and marveled in her realizations as God patiently listened.

She appreciated what did not and what did as she broke the silence with the awe of what she was feeling. God’s only comment was that she held his hand, because she had wanted to.

The truth of what we truly want, desire or choose shows up in our everyday, realizing that and how much more could occur in this direction takes only the simple act of allowing it to occur. That is why it often takes us a lifetime to sort out what we learn and understand. Let today’s walk be this simple and note what you allow into the experience and how it elevates your own truth, especially if it doesn’t work. That is a truth we know and allow for an important reason. When it does work, we think it is magic. Both are you… enjoy your walk.

A suggestion to walk with:

On this 50th day…
Consider without a right or a wrong, what occurs in your walk, and how true it is.

February’s Focus

As it is the second month of the year, enjoy two opportunities… discovery and realization.

  1. Discover your Love capacity:
This month’s 28 days will focus on how we are loving the moments we are creating. Learning to be “in love” with our focus, it expands who we are beyond the partnered relational aspects and into the focus of loving what we offer the world, who we are in community, relating at a higher level to everything and everyone; and most significantly,  elevating the relationship we have with ourselves. Prepare for a wonderful experience of exercising the power of love with the freedom of honesty to realize a greater look at possibilities and potential n a delightful way. Discover how capable you are!

2. Realize synchronous evidence:
Inspired by the variety of heart shaped labyrinths, this month capture your experiences with images of the heart. Be on the look out for where the synchronicity of the moments where your heart is in focus and then look around to see where you can find the shape of a heart in symbol. Your awareness will expand and you just might be surprised to find that when we look with an open heart, we can find it in reference near by. It does require a bit of imagination, though the findings are wonderfully worth it. Share all the heart shaped labyrinth images you find with images, links or comments and I will be happy to post the images and moments.
Care to Share and Share to Care!

TLS 365 Experience 2018: The Year of Living Honestly
Whether it’s a daily walk, teaching others, sharing an experience, expressions of art, building or design, we explore the questions of what brings us to honesty in our use of the labyrinth.

In a world of emerging truth, the labyrinth is a great experience to discover more of what is right and true about ourselves and humanity. Join us in sharing the honest moments it reveals.

Daily unfolding the process:
Next Mid Month 365 Experience Gathering on February 15th at Noon (EST)  to explore the monthly focus. Share your posts from your walks and experiences with our theme this week at: 365Experience@labyrinthsociety.org

Gifts that Give

TLS 365 Experience #293
December 18, 2017

As the morning coffee began to brew, I wondered on the small finger labyrinth what message to bring to our group for the evening.  There were lots of ideas mulling around in my head, though nothing stood out and really felt much like the contribution I wanted to share.  As I smelled the coffee, my fingers moved faster and I realized I hadn’t been paying much attention to what I was doing as the aroma reminded me of morning rituals. The overwhelm of the holiday bustle had packed in too much and I could feel it.

Just in that moment as I traced another turn, the reminder that I could take another direction on this. I realized people had a lot to say and why not bring my portable labyrinth with and just get people walking, talking and sharing their thoughts. More over, it would seem like a special activity meeting for the holidays, this was just getting better and better.

Printing out finger labyrinths and writing a quick holiday message on each realization came as I finally stopped to sip the coffee, a simple and very effective meeting was planned using the idea of what gave me the idea. The labyrinth can be a gift that keeps on giving… and I now would be passing that on in giving that idea to others.

A Clock Walk

TLS 365 Experience #163
Aug. 10, 2017

A Three part Labyrinth, clockworkIn the morning, I find I use the labyrinth to awaken, appreciation and create ideas for the day. The walk is opening and refreshing and an exercise of mind and body movement.

In the afternoon, I consider the use of the labyrinth to evaluate the intention of the day and how it has progressed and what is yet to come.

In the evening, I discover the use of the labyrinth to report to myself on the mindfulness of which my day was full, partial or randomly absent.

I think the pattern of the labyrinth is much like a clock in it’s design. At different times in my day, I wish to focus on different things and the ideas of beginning, amidst, and ending bring forth different attentions as the parts of our day might.
