  2. For Your Experience:
What did you yield from your experience?
  3. Share:   Share your message
When we collectively offer the ways to begin, someone sees a new idea, thought or experience to enjoy. Today, share images, art, ideas, designs, tips, facilitations, building strategies, ideas from your book, poems, teachings, etc.

Today’s Experience:

Good Samaritan Hospital Labyrinth

I have gained an awesome healing tool that has inspired me over the years  in many ways. The labyrinth has become a go to place for me to release fears, practice patience and stay focused in the moment.

It has brought me closer to myself spiritually and I have met many new people near and far because of a love for the labyrinth.

The Spire of Inspire

Day 342  December 8
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Honest Gifts

Segment Two: Inspiration
Days 341-346

The Spire of Inspire

The towering elevation of a spire offers our inspiration a challenge place to champion the status quo and move into heights of imagination. It is the unbelievable stretch that we didn’t know existed within and the long reach of accomplishment that took a worthy effort to discover.

To spire is to stand taller than we have before. It is not a surprise to find the spire within the word inspire, as if to call out with profound celebration that there is more to consider. Where the spire within can extend itself, the work of pride and honor take root as a base level and travel upwards in rapid growth extending branches. It is a lofty concept to climb, though when we do, we find the reward of wonder, amazement and delight with abilities rising to meet the occasion in earnest effort.

There is an erect nature to a spire as it doesn’t slouch or shirk, it expands into its magnificence. It is a reward of realization and similar to the center of a labyrinth, we raise in noble recognition of what we discover at the initial goal of our walk and even more so in taking time to reflect its truth in our walk of return.

Today’s doctor visit was reminiscent of the inspiration of patience in waiting and observing the natural wood patterns of the door that would soon open to permit entry into the land of beyond. As the labyrinth design was discovered and traced, it was unclear whether imagination or inspiration came first, though both were launched.

Daily Insights of this 342nd day…
Walk on each path a little more expansive than the path before, reach the pinnacle of your spire and observe what is inspired.

Heart Within Heart

Day 57: February 25
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Awareness
In The Month of: Love

A new friend and I have realized our similarities in the area of caregiving. She lovingly cares for her husband who’s care requires regular attention from a paralyzing stroke as I care for an aging mother with mobility issues and cancer. Each of us has worked in the field of relationships, though nothing really prepares one for the relationship of caregiving and the new role of love that is discovered. It is one that in its experience allows us to grow richer, especially during the times when we might rather not.  We encounter things we would have never considered and open ourselves to both the highs and lows of wellness. The vast range of emotion and experience fall between the moments of patience and urgency and at the end of the day, we both agree that we are better off having been a part. It is a blessing to both know, assist and receive from another who walks a similar path.

We had opportunity to spend a little time together today and walked the path of a nearby labyrinth. She was familiar though appreciated the new perspectives in walking and how it might relate to caregiving for both our patients and our patience in the walks of love we could create. It’s a lot like the labyrinth as when we walk in the reflection, we see more of what is and less of what isn’t. It is the heart within the heart that reveals itself as we journey and in that, there is a lot to consider, appreciate and love. Designing this labyrinth today took on this theme of the hearts within the heart that are realized with perspective.

A suggestion to walk with:

On this 57th day…
Walk within your own heart today, step in and keep going and growing.

February’s Focus

As it is the second month of the year, enjoy two opportunities… discovery and realization.

  1. Discover your Love capacity:
This month’s 28 days will focus on how we are loving the moments we are creating. Learning to be “in love” with our focus, it expands who we are beyond the partnered relational aspects and into the focus of loving what we offer the world, who we are in community, relating at a higher level to everything and everyone; and most significantly,  elevating the relationship we have with ourselves. Prepare for a wonderful experience of exercising the power of love with the freedom of honesty to realize a greater look at possibilities and potential n a delightful way. Discover how capable you are!

2. Realize synchronous evidence:
Inspired by the variety of heart shaped labyrinths, this month capture your experiences with images of the heart. Be on the look out for where the synchronicity of the moments where your heart is in focus and then look around to see where you can find the shape of a heart in symbol. Your awareness will expand and you just might be surprised to find that when we look with an open heart, we can find it in reference near by. It does require a bit of imagination, though the findings are wonderfully worth it. Share all the heart shaped labyrinth images you find with images, links or comments and I will be happy to post the images and moments.

Giving Care

TLS 365 Experience #129
July 7, 2017

I am a Caregiver.

No one realizes how intense this can be until they find themselves in the moments of it. It is a rather spontaneous adventure and one that calls us to attention in ways we didn’t think possible, though it is where we find the possible and what lies even beyond that.

The path of curves and circles represents much reminder of choice as I can appreciate the care I give to myself in a daily way. The everyday focus keeps me more than grounded; it offers wisdom, patience and a profound sense of purpose in a meaningful and peaceful message. Daily I am met with new experiences and insights into my self and the role of giving care and with every piece of education I receive, I can apply it more appreciably in the care of another.

The walk of the labyrinth’s many paths also provides a regular time for the care of me.

The Labyrinth, A Patient Provider

TLS 365 Experience  #10
March 10, 2017

A Patient Provider

When the call is clear, the labyrinth appears!

For over two weeks life has offered familial concern and life support. There exists much bliss in family gathering, though overt concern by all for the life of our young soul suddenly in a deciding transition. It’s one of those things that no one expects.

Just knowing a labyrinth was present on hospital grounds was a comforting way to reach out and imagine the path for the reassuring moments it provided when choosing not to leave the interior environs. Witnessing another walk with their own story, from a respectful distance, also reminded me I was not alone in my hope. Walking it gave my feet purpose as each circuit created new gratitude to all involved in the care and healing from the immediate to the celestial.

Inspiring in it’s many ways to walk. Knowing, yet still realizing the greatness of its provisions, ready and available in service. Remembering to walk a circuit of gratitude for its presence, and all who brought it forth.

Day Twelve… a Trio of Possibility

12DaysOfLabyrinthsPlay along in December, any 12 days or just make it last all month. Today’s post moves beyond the simple preparations into the action of the game itself. Read The Game and How to Play in the link below to follow along. Then send along comments of your experience.
The Game and How to Play
Preparations…12 Things that Matter
Preparations…12 Gifts, Talents or Abilities
Preparations…12 People of Influence
Day 1  l  Day 2 l Day 3 l Day 4 l Day 5 l Day 6
Day 7 l Day 8 l Day 9 l Day 10 l Day 11

On the twelfth day of Labyrinths… and the first day of Christmas, there seems a noble twist with very little left on my list. Only the concept of travel, a curious new labyrinth and the importance of an ex comes together on this last of the game of 12 days.

It was indeed quite a task to come to an ending for this last day. Perhaps I just didn’t want it to close and maybe in between the eve and the after walks of Christmas, there was a richness of thought and feeling. In a short couple of weeks I journey back home, so there is much that comes to mind and heart and the closer to closure, the more uncertain certainty becomes.

IMG_4700I had planned to walk the labyrinth located out at a nursery on the outskirts of town, though found with the holidays that their schedule of availability diminished and wasn’t at all sure if they would be open based on a few mixed messages. I had thought to end the year and the game with the idea of growing and a garden center seemed the ideal place to plant some seeds and nurture ideas. The unsettled feeling of their hours of availability had me seeking alternatives to this idea.

IMG_4669As I asked the question of what labyrinth, my eyes landed on a foam core board and the vision labyrinth of one of the workshop participants from the week before. We had the opportunity to meet days after the visioning workshop, and one young man who had been impressed came up to me with a gift of  an internationalized word labyrinth. A simple three circuit design where he cut out words from magazines and pasted them as the borders.

IMG_4701He wanted me to have it and was going to make another because he was so inspired. I hadn’t realized how metaphoric it was until I sat down and moved my fingers around on it. I stopped every so often and my fingers pointed to a word or landed on an expression that spoke volumes. I began to realize how many things came together to form an idea and marveled at how it all related.

The only problem was that this labyrinth was only three circuit and was short and my thoughts wanted to travel. While I enjoyed this experience I began to realize that maybe some automatic writing might help and so I opted to utilize an idea I developed for retreats. I drew out a classical design and put my pen down at the beginning and began to write moving inward spiraling and turning my hand until I reached the center where the writing gave way to realization and instead of the reflection of 2014, I was projecting ideas for 2015.

IMG_4703The reflective return writing led me to consider the travel I had in two month increments throughout the year, the places and purposes of the experiences and the metaphors of it all. This gave me enough time to consider the three elements of this walk and whether to use the first design or use the writing labyrinth design.

FullSizeRender-3 As the idea of travel was still present I ended up using a third labyrinth where the words became the path full of the intentions for projects, places and connections of 2015. So much was coming up that I wanted to find a way to record it memorably and in this way I could move my intentions forward with a simple regular finger walk, just like the vision board idea earlier. All found its way onto a page that happily created a great way to take all the thoughts that were filling my mind and transcribe them to a visual expression.

FullSizeRender-4What I realized was that I moved on three labyrinths today with the idea of travel, had opportunity for creative design and used the strengths and positive influence of my ex husband. We parted with graceful understanding so it is natural that he would have been a part of my year, even though we saw each other less in this year than in any year previous.

When I felt many messages with three labyrinths, I knew he would put his head down and forge ahead one foot in front of the other to come to a natural ending point or conclusion. When I had much to say and used the writing labyrinth, I remembered that the labyrinth could be a good listener like he was and absorb the conversation, knowing I only required a sounding board. The final labyrinth illustrated a way to simply create a list that put a little fun in the functional way it could be used and while this was not at all like my ex, it did remind me of the personal choices I made and my mission in all more purposefully.

In many ways these 12 days have been playful and creative, a game like experience in seeking out and exploring to educate, and a great reflection of appreciation of the year past with a few glimpses into the year ahead.

My focus for today had been traveling, with creativity and innovation as my ability and my ex as a person of influence. What I realize from this trio of labyrinths is that I did some traveling on different paths that held different answers for different questions. I remembered and developed different paths creatively and used the strengths of someone of influence to me to bring perspective with purpose more fruitfully.

Just when I began to feel as if I had missed the bigger picture, it displayed itself in varied form using three labyrinths with three perspectives each unfolding to one purpose.

On this day of closure, I am satisfied with the experiences and know that each was a lesson of purpose just like this game was intended.
