Seasonal Path Order

TLS 365 Experience #247
November 2, 2017

The autumn season in the Northern Hemisphere provides the opportunity to move beyond distraction. It is a time when many things not originally intended appear on the labyrinth.

Leaves of Spring and Summer release and deposit different stages of their change to join the labyrinth. The winds take up their wiles and pick up simple objects to carry them over. The rapid growth of summer’s weeds can also leave behind the dried and dying residuals between the cracks. Where our once clear and present path can be strewn with a number of objects, it is a time to discover what it is that meets us on our journey through the labyrinth.

It is interesting to look at the synchronicity of what emerges onto our path in a metaphoric note as we realize the days of summer have gone, leaving remnants of the change for us to step in stride with, negotiate, remove or avoid.

The walks of autumn can provide us with possibilities, problems or perspectives and sometimes all three at once.

Creating Community

TLS 365 Experience #27
March 27, 2017

To me, the labyrinth is a container for infinite possibilities, inspiration, and comfort.

After giving labyrinth walks in the Rochester , NY area for nearly 20 years, my partners and I have created an ever-growing awareness of the labyrinth in community.

Our events support the community, not only through the peace people get through walking, but in the collaboration created

We support a local massage school
by allowing their students to give chair massages at our walks.

 We support local healers
by allowing them to do energy work at the walks and advertise their practices.

We support a local college
by encouraging them to send their students to our walks to learn about the labyrinth.

We support local churches
by creating labyrinth programs for them

May Flowers

Labyrinth LessonsAfter a month of release, cleansing and cultivating steps toward walking with a lighter load, this is the month that welcomes the flowers and the blossoms of chance. As the sun warms and beckons us out of doors, this is the month to step outside of the life lines that are familiar and greet what lies just outside our safe serenity.

May gives us blooming possibilities and our walks this month on a tool that always yields largely depends upon our participation. Look for what pops up right under your feet as you walk. Take off your shoes and get grounded in the reality of the world as it brings forth the flowers of May as if it has been waiting all Winter long to give us this gift.

Inhale deeply the aroma of choice and exhale long into the stride of the season to enjoy the messages, patterns and moments of connection just waiting to be created each day, all month long.

Enjoy the 31 flavors available this month with your daily walk of wonder.
