Within the Losss

Day 57: February 26
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Awareness
In The Month of: Love

Hearing of a loss today was a heartfelt reminder of what was valued, appreciated and engaged. In this gift of life, nothing is guaranteed or deserved. There is nothing we are entitled to or any real expectation until we assign it and when we have opportunity for such a life review, the grateful moments appreciate lost life much more than any thing not completed or accomplished. Those appreciates convey the true worth of life, always in what was accomplished, and more importantly how we love and were loved.  If we have contributed well, we might see evidence of why the world was better with us in it, though for many, that wisdom is more readily found in the people left behind with their memories and feelings. That is what is so important about gatherings of goodbye, it is the opportunity to share, speak and survey the many perspectives of a life.

Today I walked on the loss, the life and the contributions that were honest and heartfelt over the years and by the comments of others, grew a little more in the understanding of this individual who graced lives in her own way. Urgency arises when we see a life that had many years left to explore, though at the core of it all, each comes into this life for a prescribed amount of time to explore and expand in their own unique timeframe and style. Accepting and appreciating are the two things that might be most heartfelt and true. It is what I walked away with and what grew in perspective for the remainder of the day.

A suggestion to walk with:

On this 58th day…
Walk in your own appreciations and acceptances made, noting the truth and expansive nature in doing so.

February’s Focus

As it is the second month of the year, enjoy two opportunities… discovery and realization.

  1. Discover your Love capacity:
This month’s 28 days will focus on how we are loving the moments we are creating. Learning to be “in love” with our focus, it expands who we are beyond the partnered relational aspects and into the focus of loving what we offer the world, who we are in community, relating at a higher level to everything and everyone; and most significantly,  elevating the relationship we have with ourselves. Prepare for a wonderful experience of exercising the power of love with the freedom of honesty to realize a greater look at possibilities and potential n a delightful way. Discover how capable you are!

2. Realize synchronous evidence:
Inspired by the variety of heart shaped labyrinths, this month capture your experiences with images of the heart. Be on the look out for where the synchronicity of the moments where your heart is in focus and then look around to see where you can find the shape of a heart in symbol. Your awareness will expand and you just might be surprised to find that when we look with an open heart, we can find it in reference near by. It does require a bit of imagination, though the findings are wonderfully worth it. Share all the heart shaped labyrinth images you find with images, links or comments and I will be happy to post the images and moments.

Fitting In

TLS 365 Experience #214
September 30, 2017

In a hurry and having much to do, I wanted to fit in a walk in the morning. What I learned is that a walk is not fit in, it is not just another thing to do because it is on my list. All the hurry faded away and things just made sense with ample time to do all I wished. I realized after reaching the middle that I was reaching my limit and my inner wisdom spoke in remembering the labyrinth when all seemed to be over whelming.  This middle point in my being knew I was walking other peoples hurry and not necessarily my own and wisely brought up the idea of the labyrinth. The calm and gentle feeling after the walk gave me a good reminder, that walking other’s schedules made me not fit in to my own.

Sad to Glad

TLS 365 Experience #202
September 18, 2017

Very sad today. I am not sure how to explain the depth of what brings me to this sadness, though it is heavy and deep. I choose to walk the labyrinth today however in honor of this sadness as it’s pain and discomfort is a reminder that I cared, loved and was involved. So I walk the labyrinth in this way in observance and appreciation. As I walk I am reminded of the actions I took and efforts I made that brought me to this point. I turn the corner and turn my thoughts from fault to appreciation that I made the effort. I am reminded of the importance of my efforts and the importance of myself and I walk on. I consider the feelings I have had and as I make another turn, I am finding myself noticing both the uncomfortable pain and the fact that I have feelings.

I notice where and what hurts and I realize the throbbing and pulsing and still myself with hand over heart. There is throbbing and pulsing and I am aware of how this beating heart allows me to care and flow and that I did.  As I continue I find my thoughts arise and a diminished perspective sees the habits I have outgrown revisited and the ones that still evoke self doubt and sabotage. Interestingly these thoughts mount as I come to make another turn. On the other side of it, I realize what has been, what is and what I wish to think beyond. I realize worth of self in these steps and the thoughts that support what I can do, what I offer and what I am.

As I come into the center I come into the choice of the way I appreciate my life and how the sadness becomes my teacher and a reminder of my gladness often. As I leave the center, I move onto each path in the thoughts and feelings of what I hold dear and how it heightens my heart and moves me into a gladness for my sadness and an appreciable sense of well being.

Moving On

TLS 365 Experience #157
Aug. 4, 2017

Today I had my son in mind. I have missed him and know he is working on building a new life and glad when we can connect. Those first periods of adjustment can require moments to be reminded that evolution requires movement. When I first began the walk on the labyrinth today, I thought of what I missed and by the time I had come around to complete the walk, I was reminded of what both he and I gained in his moving on.  The labyrinth always offers a wise perspective.
