Let’s Walk the World, a focus of contribution

  1. For Your Walk:
What subtle pulses are present in your steps today?
  2. For Your Experience:
Realize the ways these energetic sensations contribute to you as you notice each.
  3. Share:   Share your message
When we collectively offer the ways to begin, someone sees a new idea, thought or experience to enjoy. Today, share images, art, ideas, designs, tips, facilitations, building strategies, ideas from your book, poems, teachings, etc.

Today’s Experience:

Walking the labyrinth, there is a continuation of openness to the energies that surround.

Abundant Giving

Day 339  December 5
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Honest Gifts

Segment One: Giving
Days 335-340

Abundant Giving

image of day 339 Star Labyrinth of GivingWhen we have enough, knowing our basic needs are met, we have the opportunity to rise to the gracious space of knowing enough. In the land of enough, giving has no restraints as if flows freely and naturally knowing the laws of nature are to naturally give and receive.

The poorest countries prove that we only require enough to find a place of happiness and comfort in the safety it provides, so everyone has equal footing once that level is reached. If we had only a partial labyrinth drawn, the security comes in knowing how to complete it ourselves and appreciate a full walk for ourselves and for others.

Without worry, we can be free to openly create and love what we inspire. From a place that calls us to share, design or walk for our own well being, comes a place of being grounded and an area to sprout a flow of opportunity for ourselves and for those around us. It is similar to one who installs a permanent labyrinth, from a personal abundance to be shared by who comes across it.

Having left many sand creations, snow shuffles, simple material designs and a pine cone labyrinth in the woods this year, developing it came from an abundant flow of desire and leaving it behind meant other people could walk and enjoy its purposeful path to, in their own way.  It is one of the things that is so enjoyable about the labyrinth, the love of developing that leaves a path for others to discover in their own time and purpose. We leave a legacy behind.

Daily Insights of this 339th day…
Consider a walk of what is enough and what is truly not enough. How are steps with an abundant mindset give a different perspective?

A Week of Blessings

Day 334  November 30
In The Year of Honest Living
In The Quarter of: Contribution
In The Month of: Grateful Pathways

Week Four: Counting Your Blessings

In this vast week of blessings, appreciation for the eye opening explorations to see more blessings in more places has magnified the experience of gratitude. Finding the great and full nature of the labyrinth’s ample design for discoveries, inquiries, investigations and experiments into body, mind and soul provided more comprehensive understanding of a thankful nature. The combination of the labyrinth experience and gratitude has evidenced and generated a positive far reaching experiential education of gratitude in the blessings it has provided.

The Blessings Labyrinth by TheAmusedMuse.comA Week of Blessings

The seven paths of the Blessing Labyrinth have offered copious benefits, education, insights and results that are inexhaustible in the profuse benefits of gratitude blessings.

Path One – Beyond what we may know, the exploration that is outside the normal can be walked to realize a normal existence and a more natural inquisitive one.

Path Two – Lessons are a continual source of learning, affirming, realizing and recognizing ourselves and our environs for their blessings. Rediscover the path today.

Path Three – Embracing an experience is to fully appreciate the experiential nature of both the blessings of the labyrinth and the labyrinth of blessings provided. Refresh your path today with the week’s memorable day.

Path Four – Savoring the experience furthers the understanding and appreciation that multiply the benefits of the blessings received.Review the savory path.

Path Five – Sharing becomes the ultimate in contribution from a learned and knowing place that is experientially aware and present to purposeful and usefulness that blessings provide. Reflect on your sharing pathway.

Path Six – Actionable Orientations and the combined collective of the suffix of ING  offered an exemplary and comprehensive experience path to reconstruct today.

Path Seven – Surplus describes the enormity of the results of gratitude in the blessings that have a way of showing us the relative preponderance we may become a part of when in step with giving and receiving the review of blessings.

A summary walk of all will infuse a plethora of gratitude.

** The design of this labyrinth used the seven days for seven paths, navigating four quadrants while taking in four of the qualities of blessings and spiraling into the remaining three to concentrate the abundance that walking with blessings provide for an intense immersion of all things blessed by theamusedmuse.com

However you find thanks as the path, on the path or of the path you are on… how is it expressed?

    • Personal: consider the ways of your own personal adventures and use.
    • Associations: contemplate the ways of use with friends, family, and relationships or other acquaintances.
    • Environs: realize the community uses, organizations, landscapes encountered.

Welcome June

Day 152:  June 1
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Education
In The Month of: Exploration

Sand Designs by Denny Dyke

Photo Credits Artist Denny Dyke, Oregon

Welcome the Joy of June! We begin to find ourselves nearing the middle of the year in this month’s arrival and in our year long program of exploration and celebration of our abilities, June offers us a chance to recognize ourselves in the world of labyrinths. This month we become global in our pursuits on the path of possibilities and explore the labyrinths of the world that move past the traditional and explore the fullness of their design capacity.  Your opportunity is to join in with sharing the natural, inspired and differently designed labyrinths of the world.whatJune

Whether it is in the programming you offer for education, the design you build to provide insight, the artistry you create to share perspective or the unique ways in which you walk or connect to embrace an experience, how might those unique differences speak to your journey and yourself in the year that lives more honestly in who we truly are?

June 1st – Global to Local:

Today’s design comes from the Oregon coast where artist Denny Dyke makes a composite of symbols and designs of the labyrinth into one walking experience. The wonder is in the artist who simply puts together the things that are important and combines the pieces to make one whole experience. Today discover how can you make more out of more labyrinths. I’ve often put together many labyrinths for one experience so can relate to this Artist and appreciate the reminder to be barefoot into the goodness of what nature provides. Where you don’t have a beach, you might have a sandbox or a box for sand and finger designs.

On this 152nd day…
Explore an idea of an area of your life this month where you would like to get out of the box of conformity.

Facilitation and Creation

Day 137: May 17
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Education
In The Month of: Celebration

New England Wooded Labyrinth Paths
Facilitation Experiences from Karen S. of New England, Certified Labyrinth Walk Facilitator:

The tabletop labyrinths I have designed and created were inspired by my desire to walk the path in winter, when the wooded path is buried under 3 feet of snow. I walk my original tabletop path often and have another one I love to walk that was made for me by my daughter. I’ve given a few to friends, including a bling coworker, and sold one made of pine needles and branches.

When I facilitate a walk I often offer walkers an opportunity to complete a craft to take home with them as a reminder of their time on the path. Sometimes it’s a pin, at others it’s a mandala, or a smaller path to keep with them to walk whenever they need a lift. During this relaxing, open time, participants are encouraged to share insights about their labyrinth walk experience.

Celebrating the winter for its creative inspiration, celebrating the offerings to others, and celebrate the experiences created and the take away reminders.

On this 137th day…
Celebrate where your creativity comes from, what you give and what you receive from the inspirations and appreciations.

The Month of Celebration, Appreciation and Realization
May’s Focus: Celebration

Life is a celebration to explore in the next 31 days. With the idea of walking the labyrinth and its tri-focus on releasing, receiving and reflecting, let’s shift the perspective to one that walks in with appreciation, finds the honest realization from each day and walks out in celebration.  Observe what 31 days of this focus might reflect and how it elevates our life condition.

Four focus points to expand your celebration of this month’s experience:

  1. Share your ideas, in your personal experiences, how you share the labyrinth with others, art, design or method of construction or in other ways that it may be utilized. Let others know about this daily experience and opportunity by sharing it. Find us on this blog and on the Labyrinth Societies Facebook page
  2. Join our Mid Month Dialogues on May 15th at 2pm CST for a lively look at what you have created and will create in the idea of celebration. This month’s theme was a direct result of our last month’s Mid Month Dialogue!
  3. Participate in the daily opportunity of this educational focus of  your personal journey, how you lead, teach or share with others, and what you create for contribution or purpose with this theme.
  4. Remember that our theme is about finding our greater capacities, abilities and true realities in being honest with our potential. We focus on what we can do as it is inherently more useful and productive.

Virtual Sharing

TLS 365 Experience #281
December 6, 2017

When in the busy of my day online, I would take a few moments to regroup walking a virtual labyrinth on my computer at work. There was an online site in particular I was more partial to, as it gave a variety of walks and it only added the option to include music on the journey. This left the experience of the walk totally up to me.  Where other online sites that popped up over the years were well intentioned with messages, guides or stopping me with reflections; simply sharing the design as the creator intended and leaving the walk up to me became a noble gift.

In turn, I shared the site with others in the office.  There would be a random moment of familiar music that brought a smile to know that another was finding similar benefit and a moment of peace into their day. Grateful for the designers who share their simple gifts that give so much to others like myself.

Good Mourning

TLS 365 Experience #261
November 16, 2017

I lost a dear friend and couldn’t fathom how I might bear the pain of such a deep and precious part of my life. There was a void in my center that I did not think I could fill and the thought of not having another conversation or connection in the physical sense just made me want it more.

Heading out to the labyrinth, I thought to see if it held answers for me and discovered that I began to feel a little more peaceful in remembering my friend. I started having a conversation with her as I walked.  I listened and shared, imagining what she was saying or how she was responding. After awhile it just seemed like we were having one of our natural conversations and the loss slipped away as I listened and connected again.

In the center I held only gratitude and thoughts of further conversations we would have. I realized this was our friendship on another level.  On the labyrinth, new ways begin again.

Chapters of Inspiration

TLS 365 Experience #258
November 13, 2017

We might never know who we affect when we share the stories and experiences of the labyrinth and it isn’t really important to know, more to share and grow in what we know by doing so. Sometimes, we do get a glimpse of the difference it makes when we share.

A client who was curious about the labyrinth, met me on a quiet local labyrinth and found that was where she wanted to grow in our time together, so we met regularly and used the labyrinth in our understanding as its location offered a place of refuge where we were undisturbed. Over the time together, many ideas were raised and issues resolved. I could see how the results of the walks played into our sessions regularly. As she moved successfully into her own steps in life, guided by her own resilience and understanding, I would receive messages from time to time about success moments, though not much about the labyrinth or if she still used it.

So it was both surprising and delightful to hear from her in depth, learning how she had enjoyed the labyrinth in our sessions but fallen away from regular use in her daily life. It wasn’t until she began writing and fell into a slump that she remembered one of our technique’s and by using it, found herself back out on the labyrinth. As she walked, the last three chapters for her book were revealed. Even greater,  she realized now the depth of some of our earlier work and how the labyrinth was much more than a tool for coping and has since found inspiration a way to walk.

Simple Contributions

TLS 365 Experience #251
November 6, 2017

The simplest contribution we can make is when we create awareness, education or application of the labyrinth and share it with others. It can be in a presentation where information is offered. It can be in a walk where people experience it. It I can be in design, art, building, or how we use our collective and individual talents to offer the labyrinth to others.  Even just sharing your enthusiasm about the labyrinth with others about is a contribution in answering a question or in the telling of an experience.
