Month of Beginnings
Quarter of Consciousness
Let’s Walk the World, a focus of contribution
- For Your Walk:
Walk with your ancestors on a journey today. Whatever questions you may have, allow you to step into an experience with your roots and observe how they might answer your initial questions.
- For Your Experience:
Beyond the initial answers, what else did you walk away with in your walk of the ancestors?
- Share: Share your message
When we collectively offer the ways to begin, someone sees a new idea, thought or experience to enjoy. Today, share images, art, ideas, designs, tips, facilitations, building strategies, ideas from your book, poems, teachings, etc.
“Walking home to country is a connection our people have always had with Mother Earth
Our culture is defined by the closeness of family circles and staying connected to the people within it. The labyrinth invites and welcomes people to walk the path together – it calls them to the land in oneness.”

January: A Month of Beginnings
With a focus on sharing this month and the ways we set up our plans to the actual way we place our first step, beginnings can offer us a way to realize our outcomes.
- Explore what beginning is like for you, personally or professionally in all you do.
- Observe yourself in this first quarter of the year as a contribution.
- Walk, design, teach, build, express yourself in sharing an experience this month.
Day 20: January 20
In The Year of Living Honestly
In The Quarter of: Awareness
In The Month of: Definition
In the context of honesty, this finger labyrinth fell off the wall one day and onto the carpet below breaking in to two pieces. It was a sudden shock and I suspect the arid desert climate had much to do with the cedar it was made out of splitting.
However, the message on the back calls this a Heart Opening Labyrinth and asks us to surrender to trusting and opening for a peaceful path. It also shares that cedar has a natural comforting aroma and that it enhances focus and frees anxiety and scattered thought.
I had put this aside to find the right adhesive for repair and found that its split nature could be used to demonstrate parts of a walk, wholeness and healing in facilitations and classes for education. It’s brokenness has served an honest coming together for many. When set side by side, a gentle finger walk is fully possible, with a mindful awareness of the times where special consideration is required and today in the walk, I am reminded of the true strength and power of gentleness.
The intimacy of the two parts coming together has served to remind me of the way of world divisions and the importance of what oneness provides. As more of the world comes together, I may repair this, though for now it simply reminds that there is work to do, love to bring and honesty to discover in what we are truly capable of.

TLS 365 Experience 2018: The Year of Living Honestly
Whether it’s a daily walk, teaching others, sharing an experience, expressions of art, building or design, we explore the questions of what brings us to honesty in our use of the labyrinth.
In a world of emerging truth, the labyrinth is a great experience to discover more of what is right and true about ourselves and humanity. Join us in sharing the honest moments it reveals.
Daily unfolding the process:
Next Mid Month 365 Experience Gathering on February 15th to explore the monthly focus. Share your posts from your walks and experiences with our theme this week at: 365Experience@labyrinthsociety.org
